Ingredients

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled

1–2 tablespoons sugar, honey, or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

¾ cup milk or plant-based milk (oat, almond, coconut, etc.)

1 teaspoon ceremonial-grade matcha powder

2 tablespoons warm water (160°F–170°F)

Ice cubes

Optional: 1 teaspoon lemon juice, vanilla extract, whipped cream, chia seeds
Instructions

Blend strawberries until smooth, then simmer with sweetener and optional lemon juice for 5–7 minutes. Let cool completely.

Sift matcha powder, add warm water, and whisk until frothy and smooth.

Fill a tall glass halfway with ice.

Add 2–3 tablespoons of cooled strawberry purée to the bottom of the glass.

Slowly pour in the milk over the back of a spoon to preserve layers.

Top gently with whisked matcha, again pouring over the back of a spoon.

Optional: Garnish with whipped cream or crushed freeze-dried strawberries. Serve immediately.
Notes
Chill all components before layering for clean separation. Use ceremonial-grade matcha for the smoothest flavor.
