- 1–2 inches fresh ginger root, sliced
- ½ lemon, sliced (plus optional zest)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon dandelion root (dried or fresh)
- Optional: raw honey or maple syrup to taste
- Optional: fresh mint leaves or star anise for variation
Instructions
- In a medium pot, bring 3–4 cups of filtered water to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and add sliced ginger, lemon, cinnamon stick, and dandelion root.
- Let the tea simmer for 10–15 minutes, allowing the flavors and benefits to infuse fully.
- Remove from heat and strain into a mug or jar. Add honey if desired.
- For an iced version, let cool, refrigerate, and serve over ice with mint or a splash of apple cider vinegar.
Notes
